Is there a drain plug on the radiator of a 2004 escalade, or do I have to take off the bottom hose to drain it?

I'm not sure on the Escalade but I haven't come across a GM vehicle yet that didn't have a drain plug in the radiator. I seem to remember them most of the time being right below the low side return outlet. I did have one vehicle that had an inaccessible drain plug, it was covered up by the sheetmetal under the radiator support. That one required me to pull the lower hose to drain it.

There is usually a Petcock (drain) on either side of the bottom of the radiator.

    Re: radiator 2004 escalade

Funny enough, this past Monday I spent 45 minutes looking for a drain or petcock on our '05 Escalade, I had to replace the water pump. Anyway I could not find one. I have drained many radiators in my wrenching life.

I have a kiddie pool that I put under the front end and pulled the lower hose to drain.
