There are many possibilities that would work, the real question is what is the required voltage to initiate the open or closing of the folding mirrors. This can be accomplished by measuring at the switch. Once that is figured out, the next step would be finding a triggering mechanism (DRL's, reverse lights, key less entry etc.). It would easiest to find a trigger that utilizes the same voltage ( hopefully 12VDC). All you need to do then is tap that line and figuring out where to tie it into.

    speedwell tn,
The drl's use 12 volts and are on when you shift out of park even when the bulbs are blown or removed,
Now you just have to find out the voltage of the mirror motor that works the fold feature my guess is it is the same.
