    2004 Escalade Ext won't crank/ start..HELP!!!!

I have a 2004 ext, the check engine light is on, but i checked, and there is no codes…I been driving it often and was rewiring the backup camera…after that i started the truck and it started kinda funny, left it on for a few minutes, and then try starting again and notice the engine light, and wouldn't start ...don't know whats wrong…everything comes on like radio and headlights….

it could be a lot of different things but first check the battery cables as they can work loose sometimes and if the engine light comes on and stays on then you have something that needs to be fixed if not then your starter has failed and they will fail WITHOUT WARNING i know mine did this past week i started mine up to go to my uncle's but it was a different story when i left he had to drive me home cause i had the no crank with nothing coming from the starter but everything else worked so first check the battery cables then the starter relay and the starting system fuse in the box under the hood if all of those are good then it is the starter.
