Air ride problem with load after replacing shocks/compressor

I just replaced both my compressor and both shocks with factory parts. Everything works fine unloaded, I here the compressor kick on etc. but when I hook up with my trailer, the truck hits the ground. When this happens, I here the compressor kick on but the truck doesn't level correctly. I also felt the shocks, they seemed very firm, like their was air in them. I also checked my leveling bars to see if they are bent but looked correct.

This one has me stumped. Any ideas?

I would suspect an air leak! Given that you just replaced the compressor and shocks, I would check the fittings first and perhaps the air lines if they were reused.

take some soapy water in a spray bottle and soak the shocks and lines really good cause it sounds like a leak like the previous poster said.

How much tongue weight does your trailer have?
