    Adding Subwoofer/Amp to 2000 Escalade

So I'm having trouble finding info on how to add an additional amp and subs to my 2000 escalade. I've seen the wiring diagram, but am still not sure of where the stock sub/amp is. I also have read there is a harness to attach to the stock harness to give rca out, but can't seem to find where to buy one.

    Any help would be appreciated.

in the rear just near the stock sub the amp is silver hard to miss once you remove the rear trim piece,

Re: Adding Subwoofer/Amp to 2000 Escalade

Thank you both for your replies. The Cadillac Man - I have a 2000, would it be different? Escalade200224 I found that and was wondering if that would be the correct part, I'm glad you're able to confirm it. I'm going to order that right away and then I have to find the disassemble diagram for the front dash again, lol. Unless you know of another simpler way to do it?

Also, to both of you, I seem to keep reading 2 different locations of the subs, either what you described The Cadillac Man in the back rear panel, but also have read it's under the center console...when I looked through the grate in the back panel it didn't seem to have a speaker inside, so I'm assuming it's in the center console?

The sub and amp is under the center console if you have a 03 or later. 02s and older have them in the rear driver side panel. Inside there won't look like a speaker. The sub is inside a black box and the amp is on top of that.

Yes you'll have to open the dash to get to the wiring.

plus i know the amp is sliver as i have seen them before it is sliver even on the 03's and newer one's also and you only have to open the dash if you are installing a new radio cause the amp and sub is in the rear behind the trim piece the sub in a black box and the amp should be on the top or just to the front of the sub's location.

So I know it's been awhile to this, but I never got around to doing anything. I had to take out bucket from the center console (between the seats) to fix a switch, and pulled off the top. I know the bass comes from the center console (based on vibrations) and I see a black plastic case with a Bose part number on it. I guess they put them in different spots?

Now to find where the amp is...

I have a PAC AOEM-GM21A I am not using anymore in my 02, since I upgraded my head unit and had to purchase the PAC ROEM-GM21A. I would check PAC s website to verify the model number you need for a 2000.
Let me know if you're interested.

    Your wrong there bud

The 02 and older has the sub in the rear

The 03+ has the sub under the center console as I replaced mine with a better aftermarket sub

Any audio tech will agree with me here
