    Exclamation HID aftermarket

I had the driver side factory HID on a 2003 escalade light go out. switched lights moved the ballast and the light come on and off. returned the bulb the it went out. checked leads seem to be fine. thought I would replace the the whole headlight and ballast with aftermarket HALO's. and the right side went out. switched the bulbs (left and right) and light was still good, seams to be the ballast. I have a new aftermarket ballast but don't want to blow it.

if the bulb is good then it is in the ballast and it needs replacing before it messes up other things such as the bulb trust me you don't want it to go bad.

Be careful with switching ballasts around. I bought my esv it came with two different brands and then one was dying. When mine was dying I was told to have a pair of the same thing and don't have different ones. So I ordered another one that worked from a salvage yard and it works great. Mine were OSRAM and Phillips and the Phillips died. Go figure. But the osram is the original ballast and great things are said about osram. Phillips ones are crap. I also don't recommend those eBay ones.

Well I've had one and it was causing damage and others have complained plus they're more expensive then osram ones.
