I've only used a diablosport predator tuner. So I say that one but they're others I just never have seen them in action except super chips I have seen used on a friends dodge ram.

Re: Anyone know anyway to get a little bit better MPG out of the 6.0

With my previous SUV, an I6 powered Trailblazer a tune got the truck a good boost in economy.

I ordered a towing tune to move power to the lower RPM range and gave up high end RPM power. It was a great setup, after all how much time do you spend around 6000 RPM versus 2000 RPM in your normal driving. I gained about 3 mpg highway with that tune hitting a tank average of 24.5 mpg on my cross country trip on the flat parts. Prior to the tune the best I was getting was 21 mpg.

I don't know that our vehicles would respond as well to a tune though. My I6 engine had VVT so the tune was not just based off of fuel/spark curves but also modification of the valve timing for the RPM range I was operating in.

I used a company called PCM for less, their name is their address. They came highly recommended on the Trailblazer/Envoy forums and I was very happy with them. They usually do a holiday special during the Christmast shopping season where I picked up my tune for $99. If you go the tuning route I'd recommend picking up another PCM from ebay or a wrecking yard and keeping your stock PCM in case you don't like the tune so you can easily swap back.

With my 05 and the stock tune I'm averaging about 16-18 mpg on my 100 mile hwy/city (70/30) daily commute. Not great but not as bad as I expected.
