Wow, that is exactly what I want my headlights to look like! I can hardly wait to make these molds.

His truck was stolen over two years ago, before he ever got a chance to mount these. It looks like we will have to wait until I can get some made before we see them on a vehicle.

Thanks again! I will probably give you a call once I receive the reflectors and all of the molding supplies. I'm not a big fan of reinventing the wheel, so if you don't mind, I would like to do a quick walk-through before I start.

Re: PROJECT: Making custom clear reflectors for headlights.

    Great project Mike and sfv.

If you want to get rid of the bubbles in the castings look into a pressure chamber and pump.

I make clear reflectors for the Chevy Colorado and have been since 2010 if you have any questions pm or look me up over on his forum: http://www.355nation.net/forum/proje...s-project.html
It does not look like you can pm here so just email: thethein11 at gmail dot com

Also you can black dye to the mix to make tinted reflectors

And don't limit your self to just reflectors I recently started making gauge needles

Again hit me up if you have any questions

Yes I got them, thanks again for sending these. I also received most of the other supplies, but I forgot to order modeling clay and the resin activator. I also decided to order some transparent opaque resin tint from Taps since the picture of your mounted reflector seemed a little too clear, if that make sense. Just something I thought I would experiment with. I should have everything I need to get started this coming week.
