Cadillac Escalade, EXT and ESV Forum - 1999 - 2006 Discussion, getting ready to install a second radio in Cadillac Escalade Forums; like the title says i am going to install a second radio and i was wondering how long is the ...
I had to pickup the 12v switched lead from behind the radio, so I just ran a ground, batt along with it. Its important to run the same ground as the radio to reduce any possibility of engine whine or accessory noise.
I am sure you can especially if your setting it up like I did, with the radio only using the line-outs and not the speaker outputs, it will pull far less current that way, which should keep it within the amp rating of the oem setup.
i got hooked up and it works great just need to know how did you mount your radio in the cd changer location i thought of using the brackets off of the cd changer since i will be relocating it as soon as i have time to extend the wiring to be under my left second row seat i know i won't using it much but i want to keep it in the truck in case i don't have my cable for my iphone so i won't be without my music
i got it in and it looks great with the dash plus i also relocated my cd changer to under my left second row seat all i needed was a ethernet cable and a lot of time it took two days form start to finish but i am done and it turned out great
