    getting ready to install a second radio

    like the title says i am going to install a second radio and i was wondering how long is the wiring harness for the cd changer between it and the radio

    I had to pickup the 12v switched lead from behind the radio, so I just ran a ground, batt along with it. Its important to run the same ground as the radio to reduce any possibility of engine whine or accessory noise.

    i know which wire is which on the radio can i use the power wire from the radio then feed it to my other radio

    I am sure you can especially if your setting it up like I did, with the radio only using the line-outs and not the speaker outputs, it will pull far less current that way, which should keep it within the amp rating of the oem setup.

    i got hooked up and it works great just need to know how did you mount your radio in the cd changer location i thought of using the brackets off of the cd changer since i will be relocating it as soon as i have time to extend the wiring to be under my left second row seat i know i won't using it much but i want to keep it in the truck in case i don't have my cable for my iphone so i won't be without my music

    I used the metal cage that the radio slides into that it came with... but mounted it behind the panel instead of in front of it.

    did you use the mount tabs from the stock cd changer or not but i have the metal cage that my jvc came with

    i got it in and it looks great with the dash plus i also relocated my cd changer to under my left second row seat all i needed was a ethernet cable and a lot of time it took two days form start to finish but i am done and it turned out great

    and the odd thing to it is when i had the stock radio out and unplugged to run the wires for the jvc the chimes still worked weird as can be any clues on that
