    Unhappy Engine won't start.

Hi all. I'm new in this forum, and wish to get all the advices that I could get. Thanks in advance .... my Escalade ESV 2003 was in great condition until the engine died on me. This happened right after installing an after market front grille and a bumper grille on my vehicle. I can only hear a click sound when I turn the ignition on, but won't crank up. The interior light won't even turn on anymore when I open the doors, but the break light works when I press the break pedal. Gee, I just had my vehicle serviced weeks ago, everything functions, but now dead. Did I mess up any electrical wiring or sensor maybe? PLEASE HELP.

the starter could be dead, did you try to push the button on the dash to see if the interior lights come on? do the headlights come on when you turn them to on? and what does the voltage gauge on the dash say when the ignition is on?

Is it just the third brake light? If so, that comes on because it's LED lighting, which doesn't use as much power. It's definitely your battery though.

Wow!!! thank you for all your responses. Yes, I think you guys are right ... the battery is dead. I will have it jumped immediately after i receive the replacement part of my front grille from the manufacturer. And for pmartell12, all lights are out now, but i will also get a second look for my starter. Thanks guys. This forum helps alot!!!!

the starter has to have more then the battery had when you tried to start it fully charge it and it will do fine unless it bad due to a bad cell have it tested to make sure

If the alternator is dead then the batt won't charge and die again. Keep that in mind if you jump it and it dies again
