I also am looking for a set for mine

Salvage yards here won't sell them separately and unless I decided to convert my car to a newer engine I don't want to buy a complete engine

Ha I also have removed the cover and the engine's looks doesn't do it any favors
It's the power it puts out
Of course not many engines look good

    Re: Escalade Engine Cover

I put a "Vortex MAX" cover on mine. Same 3 piece cover. Not Caddy, but the exact same pieces, without the emblem. GM installed the LQ9, which is the higher compression 6.0L that is in the Escalades, in a few select Sierra and Silverado trucks with the "Vortec MAX" option.

Makes the engine bay look nice. Also has the sound padding underneath the center top cover, I assume to absorb some of the engine noise. I do wonder if the cover makes the engine run hotter, however.

I never knew why some trucks had vortec max. What's the big difference more horsepower?
