    Exclamation 2002 Escalade troubleshoot

Gentlemen, it's been awhile since I posted but I've had my 2002 Escalade for almost a year and I love it. It's been giving me this "problem" since I bought it but it hasn't bothered me enough to mess with it until now, read on...

When I insert the key to fire it up, SOMETIMES (not always) it just turns and turns and doesn't fire up immediately. I do this for about three seconds. I then stop turning completely. On my second attempt to turn the key, it fires up immediately no problem (I live in Houston so no cold/hot weather issues here).

It's never bothered me because when this happens, it always fires up on second try but it's gotten to the point where I want to look into getting it fixed.

My question for you experts is what do you think is causing the problem? My step-dad mentioned it may be the fuel pump relay but I'm not mechanically inclined so I don't really know if that's the case. What do you guys think? Do you need more information or maybe a video? Thanks guys....

Use some fuel system cleaner or some injector cleaner. Had a similar problem and its no more. Also cleaned out the throttle bottle.
