The heat on my passenger mirror is not working. Has anyone found a cure to this? THe signal light and all power functions work fine, drivers mirror works fine as well.
Have you taken the mirror glass out of the housing and checked the connections in the back? The heated mirror is powered by two blade connections on the back of the glass I believe.
Adjust mirror face as shown in picture to obtain access to mirror face retention clips (1).
Position a flat-bladed tool between back side of mirror face and the adjuster mechanism as shown in picture.
With a twisting motion of the flat bladed tool, separate the mirror face from the adjuster mechanism by releasing the mirror face retention clips (1).
With mirror face in hand, disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the mirror face from the mirror housing.
Inspect the adjuster mechanism for damage.
Installation Procedure
Inspect the components for any damage. Ensure that the mirror face has all the retention clips in place.
Plug in the electrical connectors to the back of the mirror.
Align the mirror face retention clips with the adjuster mechanism.
Gently press the mirror back into the adjuster mechanism with the palm of the hand on the center of the glass until it locks into place.
Inspect the operation of the mirror.
Whatever you do DON'T PULL ON THE GLASS!!!! I just cracked mine because I was in the rain in a hurry and careless. Not too thrilled but at the same time gave me a reason to upgrade to 03' mirrors.
