    Rear air shocks won't deflate

I recently replaced my rear shocks with Monroe 40034's, replacement was easy thanks directions found on this forum. The shocks seem to inflate fine, but they don't deflate. I put my trailer on and the shocks inflated to level the vehicle, the problem is when I take the trailer off the rear stays jacked up. The only way I have found to bring the vehicle back down is to remove the air supply to the shocks. Anyone out there have any suggestions???? Is it possible my compressor is bad, does it have anything to do with deflating the shocks?

if you are getting a service ride control your compressor is the cause unless there is a sensor wire that you didn't hook up right or the sensor is bad this is why i don't like some replacement shocks luckly i haven't had to change mine but the compressor is needing to be replaced on mine

Thanks for the input, I spoke with the folks at arnott on Friday and explained the issue. They said the exhaust valve on the compressor was most likely the problem. New compressor and rebuild kit for the dryer 179.00 with free shipping. Thanks again for the input.
