    Stock wheel replacement tires

I got to replace tires again on my 03. Its AWD with 265/70/17. Never drove off road or in the snow. I was not pleased with the last set that I got.
I am looking at TOYO Proxes STII 275 60R17 my concern is the 60 I know that means the sidewall is shorter. Has anyone tried them? Anyone know of anything close to the same. I want good ride quality and long tread life.

Is there reason why you wanna change tire size on stock wheels. Why weren't you pleased with the last set?

It doesn't sound like he wants to change the tire size, but those are the tires he wants and that's the closest size. The wider section width will make up the difference a little bit, but it will be just a bit shorter. As far as tire choices, I'm not sure as I haven't changed mine yet. I've been looking Michelin LTX M/S2. The reviews are outstanding and they seem great in the snow. So those are the ones I'm leaning towards.

Well, I just put on my second set of Kumho Ecsta STX 275/55R20 on my ESV Platinum.

Recommended size for my stock 20's; satisfactory ride, noise, & wear as far as I'm concerned.

    YMMV.

I ended up getting a deal on the Yokohama Geolander HT/S. They ride great much better than the last set of Michelin. Hoping to get more life out of these too Michelin's only lasted 40k

I've found price dosn't mean much in tires. I bought Nitto tires for my XLR and I love them. They ride better tan the BFG and were less than half the price.

Hankook Tires hands down. Only thing I put on my Mecerdes ML, CLK, Jaguar XF, etc. Ride awesome, very reasonably priced, and have great tread wear.
