    VCM (vehicle control module)

    Hi!

    I need to know where is the vcm located on the vehicle
    Cadillac Escalade 2000

    Need to check for bad grond or voltage....trowing code P1875

    The VCM was used only on a few years of production, it has lots of jobs but it's primary control function is powertrain management.
    It is located under the hood, I believe on the top of the left fender well near the brake master cylinder.

    Your P1875 is related to the 4WD control switch. It could be a bad switch, it has been a while since I messed with one of those.

    Now I have another code P1631C..problem with security..need to wait 10 minutes..dont start.......
    Is That possible that my problem with the 4wd low(P1875) engaging by itself has something to do with the key or key cylinder...because the pcm,transfer case and key cylinder are interconnected.

    P.S. replaced the switch box with a new (2wd,2HI,4wdh,4wdlow) and samething
