I have a 2004 escalade and saw a touch sreen navigation system pt # 10377287/ 05 /gm T800TNR Delphi Delco electronics, will this fit my vehicle? I have xm radio, on star help me out!!! : : :

Check sticker in glove box for these two codes UQ7 (Speakers) and Y91 (lux Amp) If so you need 10377531 (Touchscreen) If you want more info check out this link http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com...c,21297.0.html

Bought a Nav touch screen Part#10377531 off ebay brand new with Map disk delivered for $1027.00 took me 10 mins to install last night. Took it down to Baker Cadillac, Leominster, MA (Plug) Awesome guys knew exactly what to do didn't even have to show them directions. Cost of reflash $0.00.

Allwest - I am trying to install DVD touchscreen NAV unit in 2004 escalade like you. It seems to work fine, except I don't get sound. Is this the theft protection causing this, or do I have something else wrong. I can see all functions and the NAV works - But no sound for anything. I see the XM channels etc... but no sound?
Any thoughts.

That problem has nothing to do with the theft protection. Never heard of that before. My guess is that the plug for the speakers is not pushed completly in the rear of the unit. That is the first thing I would check.

Thanks for all the info on the touchscreen navigation, i was bidding on one, watching it for days and at the last second someone out bid me. by ten dollars. Is any one on this site have ebay name davidcom? something like that.

Where do these guys get these units anyway?? Any suggestions let me know. Oh how do i get a picture of my bluechip escalade on with my name?? THis site is great, any suggestions on the best way to bid if any other units become available? This was my first time bidding on ebay. Hey have a good one.

Watch out guys... when buying these off of ebay... there are 2 different part numbers for the touchscreen... one for the Bose Lux amp (y91) and one for the Bose non-lux or premium amp... most cadillacs have the Lux amp... the non-lux version will NOT work in your vehicles... don't buy the wrong one

Appartenly the VSS connection is not only used for dead reckoning. It will make the location update smoother. The GPS antenna will update the location once every second but I think with the VSS it should be better. This is what I read from the Avalanche forums.

Can anyone confirm this? Allwest and someone with a factory navigation setup?

I am about to buy the parts to do the same setup in my truck (installing TNR). I need to know if the GPS antenna (from gmpartsdirect) comes with the harness. If not, can anyone help me out with this?

Allwest, where exactly did you mount the antenna? I thought the signal would be blocked by the dash if it was down there.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I recently purchased a touchscreen nav to replace the non touchscreen in my 2004 EXT. I know that i have to get the new radio programmed at the dealer but when i plugged the new one in last night all that showed up was a blank screen it powered up with the lights coming on but the screen did not showany thing and there was no sound from the radio or the warning chimes. Is this right or is it supposed to power up then prompt me for something? Cause i want to make sure it is working right before i bring it in to the dealer. To TEMPORARILY bypass theftlock do the following
1) Turn key to ACC position ( not run)
2) Wait for "theftlock" screen to appear
3) Pull radio fuse
4) Put radio fuse back in
5) Radio will work as normal until key is turned off or vehicle is started

If this dosen't work for you, is it possible you bought a NON-LUX Touchscreen and not one for the Y91 Lux-Amp

GM makes 3 different sound systems for their trucks/SUV's. There is the standard non-Bose system (RPO code UQ3). You have this if you dont have a center console (and the speakers dont say Bose on them). Then there is the "premium" Bose system. (RPO code UQ7) Any 03 and up GM SUV/truck that has a full center console has the Bose sound system. Then there is the "luxury" Bose sound system(RPO code UQ7 and Y91). The two Bose systems are physically identical (hence the same RPO code) except for the amplifier. The Y91 systems (which are found only in Denali's, Escalades, EXT's, and ESV's) utilize a "smart" amp which has a built in DSP and other goodies... AND this amp can "talk" with the whole rest of the car because it speaks the Class II data language that the car's main computer speaks. The "premium" or "dumb" (as it is sometimes called) amp does not in any way talk with anything in the car. It JUST amplifies whatever it is fed from the head unit. Now because these two amps talk with the Head units and receive the sound signals differently, there are obviously many different head units. This includes the navigation head units. There is a nav HU that "speaks" the LUX amp language and then a different nav HU that speaks the premium amp language. There is NO nav HU that works with the base (NON BOSE) sound system.

The unit i have is the lux-15230099 nav. But when i turn the ignition on all that happens is the lights power up and the screen turns on(backlight, with faint lines moving across the screen. Is this supposed to happen until i get it reflashed at the dealer or not? Thanks again

Never seen that....normally it says "Theft Lock Activated" if it needs to be programmed.
