Check out PAC:

http://www.pac-audio.com/products/video.htm

They have an adapter that will give you AUX video input into your factory NAV System.

Got this from another thread, can you try it tell us if it works with this model.. OK Fellow Caddiers, over in the SRX Forum, we've got the "crack"--IF your NAV system is a Denso like ours is. (yours might not be)

Push & hold the musical note for at least 3 seconds to get to the "code" screen. Enter 1791 and hit ENTER. Now, if you remove your NAV DVD and insert a DVD movie, it'll play all the way to TIMBUCKTOO! Remember, though, this is ILLEGAL!

Now we're working on a way to use all the route menu while moving. By the way, the "cut-out" is NOT wires, it's part of the speed sensor system.

Come on over to our forum to sign up for the # volunteering! We need all the help we can get.

thanks

Does this code need to be entered everytime? Or once and done?

Re: Need Part Number 2005 Escalade Touch Screen Nav Radio

That code is only for the SRX navigation units. The ones in the Escalade are made by a different company. For the Escalade NAVto play DVDs it needs to be physically modded.

To install the GPS antenna, I had to remove the top cover of the dash in addition to the instrument panel bezel. This whole job consumed about 1 and 1/2 hours because I had not done it before.

A couple of hidden costs were inherent in the project: A full set of service manuals (2003) on e-bay for $90, these manuals give a breakdown of how things come apart and go back together. Several hours at the computer reading posts in this forum and at the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com. Those boys in the Avalanche fan club are ambitious and determined. But I learned a whole bunch reading all posts pertaining to navigation radio.
Were can i find reset instructions for tech-2 i have same system and the dealer can not activate system for me, all i get is the theaf activation screen, please help some one any one thanks..are give me the phone number to a cadi dealer that knows how to fix this, so my local dealer can call their tech deptment thanks

Re: Need Part Number 2005 Escalade Touch Screen Nav Radio

Glad it finally worked out for you. It's amazing how many dealers have no clue how to clear a vin even though they have the tech II. Forget about trying to tell them that they are wrong and that it can be done with a tech II, etc, etc. Haveing done five of these and knowing that it takes thirty seconds as I have posted earlier, I have to shake my head when I read posts like yours. By the way, what did they charge you? Average is about $50 bucks from what others have said. Touch screen is nice, isn't it?
