I just changed my fuel filter on my 02 cady escalade on the frame rail. Now my truck wont start right up like it used to. I was wondering if there was a bleeder in the line that i didnt see or what could be the problem? all feed back is awsome. thanks N.G
I havent looked at mine but usually there is a valve up on one of the fuel rails above the manifold where you could hook a fuel pressure gauge up to. If your fuel pump is working correctly it should pressurize the line when you first turn your key all the way to the ign on position before you actually bump for start. That would be a good place to start your diagnosis. IMO.
sounds like it lost pressure.... check to make sure the 2 hard lines are secured tight to the filter. I changed out my filter on my 03 and didn't have to bleed anything.
Next step is to check fuel pressure....use the schraeder valve on the fuel supply line under the hood...
