Re: What is THE LOWEST lowering kit i can get on my 2002 Escalade????
I think 3/5 kit is the lowest one I have seen..I'm only looking to do 2/3 because I absolutely want to keep my auto air ride and you cant do it with anything lower than 2/3
go to http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum there is A LOT more people on there with before and after pics, more customization work, how to's etc...just a all around better source of information on our trucks

Ehhh the McGaughy 3/5 kit clearly says "2wd ONLY" but that doesn't mean you cant install it on an AWD. Although it can be argued, the 3/5 kits put a tremendous amount of stress on the front drive axles. Basically the factory makes the front drive axles a certain size for a reason, when you lower the car, (whether 2/3 or 3/5) you throw off the geometry of the axle design. The axle will be forced/sandwiched between the diff and hubs. Mcgaughys probably figured 2/3 would be alright for the AWD while the 3/5 was the max for 2WD. The rear doesn't matter because the diff doesn't change size when lowered. But hey, thats my understanding, and unfortunatly experiences (use to snap axles like crazy on my slammed Acura Integra).
The axles look something like this stock: / \
And when lowered, straighten like this: _ _

Re: What is THE LOWEST lowering kit i can get on my 2002 Escalade????
mine are like \ / seriously... completely opposite of what they should be. But they've been that way for 6 months and no issues... so we'll see if anything happens. I member on TahoeYukonForum (Max) has had his AWD denali lowered like that for years without issues...
