    2004 Escalade uses cheaper parts!

I traded in my 03 for an 04. They cheapened the cars content. Missing is the dual visors, and cheaper carpet. Anyone else notice a cheapened feel to the new 04'?

Not to mention i have had all kinds of weird electrical problems.
    1. Air bags quit working, turned car on and off and worked again.
    2. Lost radio presets on my navigations unit as well the time was an hour off.
Turned car on and off they were back!

    Sigh!

I'm not sure about the parts on the 04' being cheaper, since this is my first Escalade. But, the radio preset issue sounds like the same thing that happened to me on my 04'. It turns out I mistakenly started the vehicle once with "Key/remote #2" when I set all of my presets with "Key/remote #1". I thought there was a problem until I started the vehicle the next time with the correct key.

Not sure if this helps, but you might want to make sure you are using the same key that you set the presets with.

carpet or floormat?? you'd think for being in the 60k range, you wouldn't need to order new floormats.

for some reason i find the 04 stiffer than the 03---which usually indicates better and sturdier parts. u might have some ECU and electrical problems. These are GM cars, not too tough to fix. i personally like not having dual visors. the second layer was just so annoying to look at

i do dislike that they removed the blue tint on the top of the front windshield and instead added a black strip---not a fan....wont matter cuz I will be tinting my front windshield 35

i do admit that they have always had cheap parts for the interior...like the front dash is plastic. its garbage. i wonder how much it would run to suede out that dash? also wonder how much sueding out the headliner would run?
