    Carbon fiber might be lighter.

I know VIS Racing makes one. Not sure about the fitment though.

There's also Fiber Images which I've heard some good stuff about.

There's nothing for Escalades but if you're willing to spend the money I'm sure they will make one.

Just be careful, l I know of several people that spent more money getting some aftermarket hood to fit than the hood cost, and that was before painting

    Re: new hood?

i agree. i have a friend who makes hoods and his are more expensive, but i can tell you, everyone one of them can be bolted right on with no problems. i've dealt with fiberglass that doesn't even come close to fitting before and it can cost easily 4 times as much for the paint and body work. honestly, unless it's a look you're going for, i don't think it's worth it. you might save 50 lbs on a 7000 lb truck.

    Re: new hood?

I got hit by hail and the insurance gave the shop (that my buddy own's) $415.00 for the hood and 7.4 hours at $55.00 per hour fit and finish time for the hood, so I'm trying to decide to go glass or steel, either way there is nothing out of pocket.
