    Arrow Stand Alone 12V DVD player??

    Looking for something to watch DVD's with preferably 12V, What do all you guys use?? I already have the screen's and i dont want an indash unit. thanks

    You probably should go with a portable dvd player. That could either be run off cigartettle lighter , or be hardwired into the system.

    12V is also not necessary, you can just buy a power invertor

    i use a power inverter for my laptop. the only issue is sometimes it doesn't seem to get enough power. if i'm idling it will almost shut off. i'm thinking the truck battery must not be strong enough to run everything.

    I've heard invertors are very bad for your alternator. Can anyone confirm or deny?

    I ran an inverter to recharge model airplane batteries and a small TV. I took my Escalade to a big RV center where they sell many inverters and they choose the size for me. It should not, if I understand how they work, send any signal back into the vehicle so seems to me the only problem might be if you had too big an inverter or put too big a load on it - but my inverter would reject a big load. Passed it on to friends using model planes more than me.
