Looking for the best pop out in-dash TV for 2002 Escalade

I want to put a pop out in dash TV in to the head unit space in my 2002 Escalade. I don't want to mess up the Bose sysem or the conrols on the Steering wheel. I would appreciate the feedback.

probably the best thing to do if you want EVERYTHING to still work is to relocate your headunit. otherwise they make things that are like a wireless remote so you can use the steering wheel controls. search some of threads for this topic, and you'll find model numbers for things you'll need.

I have a Alpine IVA-D900 in my Bimmer.

I love it. Excellent resolution and picture from almost any angle. One of the best screens in those regards IMHO from all the other ones I've seen on the market. There are also units that help integrate the steering wheel controls.

Most installers use a wiring harness that integrate factory systems into aftermarket headunits as well. The only issue I can see if if the headunit is putting out less power than your factory system.

I believe there are modules that help you keep your ONStar as well.

I have an alpine pop out tv in my 2002 escalade. Unfortanately I lost both the bose and steering wheel controls. I also lost onstar. My guess for you would to take out the whole headunit and put a nice big tv in there. Like 9 or 10 inches.

Shouldn't need to relocate your factory radio anywhere but a shelf on the garage.

Any competent audio installer or shop should have access to thise interfaces:

    OnStar

    Bose

    Steering wheel controls

OEM changer? You'll have to get a new one from the same manufacturer as your aftermarket h/u

oh is the Escalade in dash? wasn't aware.

I know Nakamichi makes an indash 6. Might be a patch cable to integrate it into the aftermarket head of a different manufacturer.

It all depends on personal preference I guess. Some would rather have a crazy multimedia system while others just want a good sounding stereo while others want OEM functionality with say maybe a little more bass and/or MP3 capability.

It's a debate that keeps going through my head and prolly still will IF I get my Escalade.

My car is a little "ICEd" out. Not really practical since I don't drive it often and it gets parked during the winter.

Is their a 6 disk changer that plays mp3s to replace the OEM unit on a 2002 escalade?

None that I know of. There's tons of single CD MP3 compatible units as I'm sure you're aware of.

Are you serious??? I think the indash 6cd changer was/is a pain. It was the first thing to go......well, as I put in the Tv's and system. I have way more then 6 cd's and it takes so long to eject a cd and change it, I got lazy and just left the same 6 in there....I am not a fan of cd changers at all.
