Door Ajar

I noticed that my car doesn't seem to let me know if a door is open while driving except for the rear hatch. Does it just not let you know? Or is there something wrong with my car? Thanks for any feedback.

mine does.... but i have an 03.... maybe the 02's dont since its not the bus2 communication system

I tested this (while truck was in garage tho, ignition on, shift lever in D) and opening a door doesnt do anything special message wise, just domelight on as usual. I will try again while in motion to see if its different.

Going over 60 and opening the door doesn't bring up any messages on the dashboard. Tested it today. Weird?

I guess in the 02 models there's no notification. Kind of irritating not knowing your door is partially open until you hear the wind passing through. You'd think a luxury suv would have something as little as that.

another reason im glad I stayed away from a few 02's while looking for an escalade
