Rear Seat Entertainment compatible with Aftermarket Nav/DVD Head Unit?? HELP!

Well, I have done a bunch of searching and haven't seen this addressed in another thread, so I am going to ask the question!

Has anybody here replaced the factory nav head unit with an aftermarket head unit and succesfully kept the Rear Seat Entertainment System working? Furthermore, have you been able to tap into the RSE and display on those monitors what is being shown on the source DVD head unit?

I am pondering purchasing a Pioneer Avic-F900BT in-dash DVD Nav unit, to install in my 05 ESV Platinum, and do NOT want to lose functionality for those two rear monitors! In fact, I would like to connect them to the pioneer (in both directions.) The Pioneer does have AV inputs, and also has a composite video output... I would LOVE to be able to pump video and audio from the RSE system to the Pioneer for display and output over the speakers, and I would also really like to be able to send video from the Pioneer to the two flip down monitors in the back.

If you have been able to do it, please let us know HOW, and if you have pictures, even better!

I am sitting waiting to pull the trigger on an F90BT or F900BT on ebay, but I NEED THIS ONE PIECE OF INFO! Will the RSE still work if I have an aftermarket head unit???

I posted this in the other thread, but the RSE has a video/audio in that works wells. I've used it with a PS3 video in(audio in to the F90BT I have) and that worked fine. I'm sure I could have gone PS3 audio/video in to the F90BT and out from F90BT to the RSE, but I didn't bother. Dunno if that helps, but yeah.
