Shouldn't the stock chrome wheels be under warrenty if they rust or pit?

ive seen aftermarket chrome wheels go to sh*t in the snow with all the salt, but i never see factory chrome wheels go bad. why is that? a better process for finishing the rim? Ive literally seen chrome flaking off aftermarket wheels, but never on factory chrome.

In that regards I'd make the assumption that "vehicle designers" for lack of a better term, assume factory rims are run year round as well as a majority of the consumers purchasing their vehicles will not switch to aftermarket wheels. Therefore it makes more sense for them to use a better quality chrome finish, likely one that is resistant to road salt to avoid costly warranty replacements based on volume.

If you buy quality wheels (ie: mc2, 310, etc), you will have more than a 12,000/12 month warranty and won't have any problems..If you have to worry about changing rims because of weather- you probably tried to save afew bucks < Ballin' on a budget>
