    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hate to awaken this old thread - but I am currently looking for a 3" lift kit for a 2002 AWD Escalade. Plan is to get some good AT Tire/Rim package and do some Type III level off-roading trips with the wife and 4 kids - ( and Monday-Fri school runs..)

Would really love to get any type of knowlegde as i am pretty new to GM...
One... I am in the sam spot. I have an 02 Lade and am looking for a light lift and some more aggressive all terains. Much like the profile pic I have seen on a few of these threads from Cadnathan. Since this is my first post I can't send him an email directly. Hopefully you can let me know what you did or Cadnathan can share how he achieved his look?

I know it's been a while, what did you end up doing with your old drop kit? Want to sell it?

My brother went the lifted route with his Avalanche. You can kinda see it inthe background:

He's got a 6" lift with 35s (or 37s) on 20 KMC Rockstars. It still rides great and looks great.

Here's another sick EXT. He went from bagged on 26s to super lifted on 49's

Cool Re: anyone got/seen a lifted off-road Escalade?

I just got an escalade with a 15" lift on 22's with 40 size tires .I noticed a lot of people replied to your thread but were hatin on the idea of a jacked up escalade but what they forgot is you can buy a used escalade (especially in today's market) for pretty cheap, if 25000 grand is cheap. Everybody loves it. people come up to me every time i take it out. i hear everyday "now that's an escalade!!!" I agree
    heres a pic of it.

you should also post a picture of the ladder you use to get in it. Different, but I like it.

Actually the owners manual on a 2005 esky explains the off road capability in section 4-17. Happy Trails, see you there!

I am talking with a custom shop about installing a winch on my truck.. There are a few ways to do the winch.. You could get a front hitch reciever and then get a winch with a hitch mount.. You could also get a front bull/push bar and mount it to that.. I have to bring the truck into the shop but I called a custom shop to see if they could mount the winch up behind the front bumper and have it come out where the front license plate goes.. They said the only problem might be reinforcing the front bumper since if you pull the truck or anything from an angle you will be applying pressure.. Hasn't been on my priority list so havn't had time to get it into the shop.. But again if you want a quick and easy option you could just get the hitch mount.. This also add theft protection since you can take it off and store it if you want and not have to worry about leaving it out in the open.. You could also swap it and have it in the front if you need it or in the back..
