    Official Grille Thread

I know alot of Escalade owners do three things when they first get their car:
    1) Change the Wheels
    2) Change the Grille
    3) Get tints

I have 2 of the three. I want a new grille and I think that it is important that we as a board can give our opinions on what we think of almost every grille on the market. I have heard that Trenz has some really good grilles, but can't find anything online.

Please help me out and help the forum out by listing a few websites and/or pictures of some grilles so we all can have a future reference to go to.

    Thanks

Personally, I think the speed grills look the best. They look like chicken wire instead of the vertical or horizontal grills.

    Re: Official Grille Thread

I have a trenz horizontal billet grill. The look of it is really nice. Although it is chipping a little bit in the center where the emblem is and I have only had the grill since january. Well it take 3 to 4 hours to install because they need to take your whole entire grill out and replace it by cutting the trenz grill and installing it on the truck. Hope this helps here is an ebay link of the grill. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33645

Here is a pic of the E&G classic vertical w/ the extra upper lip. I own this grill and IMO it makes almost all other aftermarket grills look cheap; It's all steel I beleive, not alumin.

    Re: Official Grille Thread

i think the e&g classic vertical grille is the best looking grille for the escalade. and it does make other grilles look cheap. some of the other grilles are overlays so you can see the original grille through the new one, and with the e&g grilles there is no cutting to install it

    Re: Official Grille Thread

Are there any nice clip on grills that are worth it. Seeing how my vehicle is a lease and I dont wanna go chopping up the stock grill, and I cant see myself paying that much for a replacement. Thanks

The bolt on grilles just do not fit like the E&G, and some look very cheap.

    Re: Official Grille Thread

i'm not a big fan of the E&G grills. i like the quality look of them, but i don't think they look right on the escalade. i like the look of the grill craft grill, but i don't want to go to all the trouble of installing it. just more work than i want to get into and i'd be afraid i'd screw up and then i would have to go buy another grill. i would definitely stay away from the ones that go over the stock grill. that looks cheap.

    Re: Official Grille Thread

i too was looking into getting a grille for my black escalade. in the end, i ended up painting the factory silver section black to match, leaving the chrome around the edges and changing the crest to chrome. i get a lot of looks for that and i like it. best part was it cost about 100.00 to paint. just another option.
