2002 Esdcalde stalling occasionally and rough idle

I have a 2002 Escalade that will stall out occasionally at lower speeds. It is also idling a bit rough. I just changed the plugs and plug wires, but am stumped on what to do next. If you have any ideas, I would appreciate them big time, thanks.

Re: 2002 Esdcalde stalling occasionally and rough idle

Its 99.9% the throttle body, for some reason i am only seeing this problem in 02s. So clean the heck out of it but avoid directly spraying cleaner directly into it, it might give you a minor start up problem. when you clean it pay attention to the rim of the throttle body. and also the walls. if you want to remove it to really get in there, you can, just know you will have to buy a new gasket and torque the bolts back on.cleaning its a very simple procedure with big results. And be careful if you gonna clean your MAF, its very delicate and damage will throw your air/ fuel ratio off. Still, i dont think there should be a reason to clean the MAF sensor unless its visibly dirty maybe from having a Cold Air Intake.

Re: 2002 Esdcalde stalling occasionally and rough idle

A clogged fuel filter will give a hesitation on full throttle.Still not a bad idea to change it out.Cheap part.

My money would be on the throttle body. The blade inside gets gunk built up on it and enough air can't get by.Especially noticeable with a rough idle.

LS1's aere famous for this with the design of the PCV system...or lack of design I should say.
