i looked at edmunds.com and went through reviews of each year. they list the specs and what is new for that year. there are a few subtle changes that i cant remember exaclty... like in 03 the guage cluster was updated (or something like that). good luck!
If you are even considering an 07, then take the pre 2002 models off your list.
Go with an 02-06 or an 07+.
As stated, go look at one of each and drive each. Once you narrow it down to a second generation or third generation, then our answers can get more specific. Your inquiry is simply not narrowed down enough yet for me to help without writing a novel. Personally, I like the looks/style of the 02-06 better, but the mechanics and drivetrain of the 07+ better. Either model, you will enjoy it!
99' has old exterior and old TBI mortor
02' has redesigned exterior, old interior and new LSx based motor (awesomeness)
03' has redesigned interior, turn signal side mirrors, first year of HID's, first year of EXT and ESV
04' has colored emblem on the steering wheel, clock on the navigation radio
05' and up have Electric radiator fans
07' new interior, exterior, motor and 6 speed transmission
Thats all i can think of off the top of my head.
