Any sponge will do I used a rag. Just wanted to drop in and say thank you. Did this today and it came out SOOOOOOOOO good....ran out on the second row and had O'Reillys order more. $13 a can. I also did the center console cover where my arm had taken it's toll. I have had this car new since 05 and I think I'll drive it another 5 years now!

depends on the year/make/model ... run your vin thru the compnine vin decoder that's plastered all over the place (or just use google)

Re: Diy - freshen up leather seats for $20 - no more ugly seat bottoms

Hi! I'm new here and this is the first thread that caught my eye, because the driver seat on our '05 Escalade is terribly worn (we bought it pre-owned in November). Not so much worn, maybe, as having been dyed or painted before and now looks to be peeling off in spots.

Just wondering if this process/products will still work for us or is there something else we need to do?

Has anyone tried to see if the SEM paint still holds on cars with heated seats? Just wondering the condition of the treated seats after using the heating element.

This made my center console lid look brand new. Awesome product matched perfectly. Picked it up at my local automotive paint supply store for $11.00. I can't wait to try it on my seats.

Re: Diy - freshen up leather seats for $20 - no more ugly seat bottoms

Has anyone been able to get a definitive answer as to what the SEM product number is for those of us with the Pewter (Grey) interiors? I've been trying to figure this out for a couple weeks and still haven't found anything substantial. I know my interior color code is 92I, but different websites list that as many different colors. I just don't want to make a mistake and dye the wrong color. Thank you in advance!

Agreed, if we can come up with a list of matching year/color combinations to this SEM color chip sheet, I'm sure that would be great information:

does this dry out the leather faster or does it have no effect ?? will it make it crack or rip ?? does it make it hard ?? any more updates on this process and durability

Also wonder how durable this is. My dogs hang out in the backseat (covered) but occasionally the cover slides. I'm curious if their nails would peel or scratch the paint really easy or if it could withstand their nails a bit
