03-06 side mirrors on 02'?

Hey guys I'm new so sorry if this has been posted. I was thinking about switching out my side mirrors to the newer ones with the turn signal. It should be a direct switch but I'm not sure about the wiring. Any suggestions?

I've been wanting to do this for a while now too. The mirrors themselves are the same size. The only thing i don't know about is the difficulty running the wires. I'm guessing you would have to hard wire them in to existing blinker wires but i don't know if any are in the general area. It definately CAN be done. If you find anything out please let me know.... thanks

Hey I would like to do this too! So does the 03 mirrors have everything to 02 does plus the turn signals?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the 02' ones are exactly the same to the 03-06 minus the blinker but unfortunately the ones I was going to buy were sold by the time I came up with the money...oh well but I will keep looking for some. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

They definately are the same size just with the blinkers. I had a 2005 Silverado that I traded in and i was going to swap the mirrors with my '02Escalade but I didn't think about it until the day before and unfortuately I didn't get it done, but they ARE the same size. All the GM's trucks those years are. If you get this done please keep me informed. Thanks

Ok so let me get this straight, the 2003 Mirrors have EVERYTHING the 2002 mirrors have PLUS the turn signal indicators? In other words I will still have my power adjusting, power folding, heated glass, electrochronic (whatever they call that stuff that dims the mirrors lol) and puddle lamps??

That would be my guess, however all i can say for sure is that they are the same size. I would check with a dealer to see what features it has. The ones on my silverado had blinkers, defrost, and power fold ...... i don't know about the dimmer

Do a search on the mirror exchange. I did it to mine last summer. All connections are made under the dash on the drivers side. If you find my post I even advised which wires from the mirrors are to be tapped into which (colors) wires under the dash. Took about 2 hours to do it all. I used later model mirrors on the '02. You can also get a heads up by downloading the Muth Mirror installation instructions. Muth mirrors would have been less expensive but their drivers side does not auto dim. I wanted to keep ALL Escalade features...that's the reason we bought 'Lades, isn't it???

I did the same to my 02 like boomerang did took me about the same time to install. I follow the Muth instructions.I kept
it all Escalade with 03 turn signal in mines.

Yes my mirrors came off a 03 with the dimming and heat connectors on the back of mirror.I had to just run wires to the turn signal.

I just had to replace both of my side mirrors because they were stolen, and thought about doing this. I passed on it, although now I kind of wish I had ordered the 03+ ones.

LOL, sometimes I wish I just got an 03 or 04 for a wee bit more but I got a damn good deal on my 02 so I can't complain really
