Sunroof height in vent position needed.

I am currently fixing a 2002 salvage Escalade. Truck got a lampost on the roof, crushed the passenger side by about 6 inches. I managed to make the roof straight (all doors open and close properly), but I'm worried that the attachement frame for the sunroof mecanism is too low. Would a member be nice 'nuff to measure in the vent position, distance from top of glass panel to the roof (center). I get 3/4'' (which leave about a 1/4'' vent opening). Thanxs!

Re: Sunroof height in vent position needed.

Ok, mine is a stock undamaged 05.I put the roof in vent all the way up.I used a tape measurer and got 1" from outside roof to the bottom rubber trim of the glass in the center of the roof.I dropped the tape straight down inside and get 2.5".

Hope that helps.Mine has no leaks and never has.

Re: Sunroof height in vent position needed.

Thanxs for the quick reply! I'm not quite in the right area yet then... I was just affraid to send the truck to the paint shop, reinstall the headliner and everything only to realize the factory set closed position is off (once the sunroof is re-initialized) by a few inches...

Re: Sunroof height in vent position needed.

I went and double checked it.The 2.5" is off the headliner and not the shade so it is spot on.So the my two measurements are correct. At least you are close.
