driver side airbag question

i have 2003 escalade i want to replace my driver side airbag ro the same one thats in a platinum edition, can i just swap it right out for another? i was looking on ebay and i saw some auctions mentioning something about VIN #'s. i just want to make sure before i bid/purchase one.

The difference between the platinum editions and non platinum steering wheel is the platinum had the chrome ring right where the leather and wood grain seperate and the leather on the steering wheel is black/dark charcoal. There's also a 'collectors edition' escalade and it also has the same steering wheel.

Yeah you can swap both parts out. It is pretty easy to do actually.
