What is this??? and other random questions.

Found this under the driver's side rear seat in my '05 EXT (see pics below). What is it? There appears to be two components there.

Also, in the EXTs how many speakers are there? I see two tweeters and one in each door making 6 plus a sub somewhere. Am I right? Where exactly is the sub?

Is there any way to stop the beeping reminder about the seatbelt. I always wear mine when I am on the road but there are times when it is not necessary...like hauling stuff around the yard or backing up a trailer.

Thanks guys!

Re: What is this??? and other random questions.

No way to stop the chiming for the seatbelt....

Sub is located (I believe) in the center console...

And I believe 6 is correct for the number of speakres..

Not sure what that is that you have pictured...

Is that the rear heated seat module?

That is the suspension control module I believe.
On a regular Escalade or ESV that is mounted behind the right rear trim waaaaaaay in the back.

Re: What is this??? and other random questions.

Pretty sure my standard Escalade in 03' had the same looking module.

Re: What is this??? and other random questions.

My back seats aren't heated...although I have never really sat back there so I'm not certain. lol. Regardless, I doubt it is for seat heaters. I'll buy into the suspension control module idea. What suprised me was how may wires were connected to the big silver thing. Any idea on the little black box to the right?

I kinda knew the sub was in the center console. Perhaps I should have been more specific, like exactly where is it. Right under the cd changer, or way up front, or near the rear of the console??? I was hoping to take a look at it and see if it could be easily upgraded with something like an Elemental Designs sub. Someone else just started a thread with this same idea in mind.

Thanks guys!

Re: What is this??? and other random questions.

Verified it in the manual, that is the suspension control module.
The other box is the rear object detection module.

Sweet! Thanks for checking into that. Hopefully I never need to use this info but glad I know.
