Re: '03 Escalade intermittently won't start!

My 00 STS began showing the same symptoms many shared here with good lights/gauges, etc, but no start or sounds when ignition turned to start. I tried the WD-40 trick to no avail and bought a dealer key with no fix. I have figured out that it will start every time after the key has been in the ignition on "run" for 2 minutes. (the security light only stays on for a few seconds, not the entire 2 minutes) Anyone else tried the 2 minute mark? My next step appears to be either the ignition cylinder lock or the pcm since it starts every time after 2 minutes.

I don't know if this is a coincidence, but I changed the battery in the keyless entry FOB and my STS has started immediately, every time, for the last 3 days.

OK, the car seems to start fine when it is 80 degrees or more outside. Tried changing the battery and the starter, as well as cleaning battery ground under the seat and ground under the hood; no fix yet. Also bought a new relay for Start 1.

So aggravated with this issue. My 02 with 193k miles is doing the same exact thing. Has anybody identified if it for certain is the PCM, Battery or the starter?

I'm having the same problem... When I crank it over nothing happens, all the dash lights turn on, then extinguish as they've done before. I replaced the starter in 09 and
pulled it for a bench test & it passed. I just purchased an ignition starter switch Duralast PT#LS1115 but I don't know where or how to install it. Can't find any write ups but read somewhere it's on the column. If so how do you remove the column cover & or steering wheel to change it out? By the way after I reinstalled the starter the truck
fired right up geez.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you hit me up with that info as well. I am in the middle of trouble shooting mine as well. Turn the key and dash lights up, but no sound at all from the solenoid. Was figuring a bad starter/solenoid. My battery is also sometimes having draining issues. Mines is a 2004 ESV
