| "Shatter-proof" is a rather VAGUE term. The front windshield is a laminated safety glass which WILL shatter but will be held together by the internal plastic core. The side and rear glass are tempered glass which is VERY strong but when it breaks, it sounds almost like a small explosion. It basically "POPS" when it breaks. And due to the tempering, it shatters into thousands of tiny little chunks that look a little like rock salt. This is to prevent injury due to broken glass shards or long slicing edges. |
