The service stability light came on my 06, does anyone know what this generally is? Would this have anyting to do with the tire pressure monitor system.
I have searched and found alot of problems on the 03 but none on the 06.
It should have nothing to do with the tire pressure system, does that light stay on all the time, or does it come and go. My 03; would do that every few months, took it in twice and was told there were no codes stored in the computer, after that just lived with it.
He is correct the stability system has nothing to do with the tire monitor.. It is a separate system that controls the electronic traction control and anti-skid system..
Generally on an 06 it's probably either a software glitch that needs to be recalibrated, or possibly a steering wheel positioning sensor malfunctioning..
I did the same thing over and over on my 2003. There were never any codes and the dealer never found any malfunction. I'm sure if there are no codes you're good.
optimum situation would be to be able to get the code pulled when the light comeson, if it comes on and you can get to a scanner without shutting the vehicle off u could get the code
