By what I've heard the best choice to go with is Corsa Exhaust. Actually I don't own one but I am planning on buying the Touring Edition, which is quieter than the Sport Edition.

I have the Corsa Touring, I had the Sport muffler and replaced it with the Touring muffler (the front and rear pipes are the same on both systems) , it has a nice sound without any interior noise, it looks great and Corsa is licensed by GM so there can never be a warranty issue because many GM dealer's sell and install Corsa systems.

Why stay away from Borla? Every Borla exhaust I have had has been exceptional, especially with the mean low growl sound.

I did not post that, but the last 3 exhaust systems I purchased from Borla (2 for my C4 Vettes and 1 from a Suburban) were either missing parts or did not fit without taking them to an exhaust shop for some needed bending.

The Borla for the 6.0 resonates between 2000 - 2300 RMP. The drone will give you a headache. I could care less if it had a drone in the higher RPM range - but this Borla lets itself heard right at 68 mph and continues all the way through 79 mph - my favorite cruising range.

I removed the Borla muffler and replaced it with a factory size, free flowing Magna Flow...The noise is less aggressive and no more drone, and I still have the great looking Borla pipes and tips..

But which exhaust nets more horsepower/torque?

I don't know. Do you plan to add the catback to other mods like an intake or supercharger?

Yeah, I already have the AEM BruteForce intake and love it. I also did the SuperChips reprogrammer. I would love to eventually get the supercharger but we will see.

Re: what's the popular cat-back exhaust on Escalades?

The only reason I put a catback on was because of my supercharger... I really don't think any particular brand of catback is going make a world of difference in performance. I actually put the catback on before installing the SC - Other than the sound, I never noticed any gains. As you know, catbacks are a must when adding additional mods, but do very little by themselves.

Which model version magna flow muffler did you use? And was it an exact replacement for the borla muffer?

Re: what's the popular cat-back exhaust on Escalades?

i wasn't really concerned with performance.....just want a different sound. most catbacks are all the same anyway no matter what kind of bs gains they say you'll get. now when you start adding big mods then it becomes a critical choice. thanks for all the imput gents!!

Actually, it's size is more like the stock muffler. I can't rember the part # but the actual muffler is 22" long, and overall, it's 28" long, dual in/dual out. I could have gone shorter but i didn't want to gamble with possible drone. Very minor mods had to be done to the Borla pipes to make it fit. I'm very pleased with it now, but I should of just gone with Corsa in the beginning. Although Corsa has more of a raspy tone, it does not resonate
