Cadillac Escalade, EXT and ESV Forum - 1999 - 2006 Discussion, Quick Help!!!! Please! Lowering Q's!!! in Cadillac Escalade Forums; Hello all, I am new here, I just purchased my new black Escalade with 22's Cadillac Wheels, and had a ...
I don't recommend using the ground force springs. Instead, use the Mcgaughy's lowering kit. They use a special patented spindle that uses the stock air ride suspension as well as the shock absorbers. Once installed, you will notice that you have retained the stock ride quality and improved handling.
The lowering kit is a 2/3 drop.
note: the torsion keys are not modified. This is what keeps the stock ride quality.
I also have an 04 escalde with 22" wheels. It looks great. I've had very many compliments on my ride. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your help, and your quick reply.....
I also had a few more questions... What all is included in these lowering kits? Are there only lowering springs for the rear, and you drop the front by moving the torsion bar, or is there more to them? Is this what the groundofrce kit is, is just rear springs I am guessing?
Will a EXT kit work on on a Caddy SUV? And are they the same kit/springs for 2WD/AWD setups?
I know a guy the has a groundforce kit and the Mcgaughy's Kit for sale.... The groundforce is off of a 03 EXT (not sure on drivetype) and the Mcgaughy's is an 02 EXT..... Would these work on my truck?
I am going to assume you know you can lower the FRNT W/O the kit's. If you check out SKALAID's pics. All it took was a slight adj on FRNT torsion bars w/ a 2" shackle kit for like 60 bones out back. If u got subs or boat go with 2" on Rear- Hey 02+ owners- How do u adjust rear level cntrl W/ lowering kit?
The 02+ may sit higher in R- 99'-00's sit lower than FRNT stock? Just BRNSTRMING-Enjoy the Lac'
GO WITH THE MCGAUGHYS KIT. I JUST LOWERED MY EXT YESTERDAY 2/3 AND IT RIDES SMOOTH. I HAD THE GROUND FORCE KIT ON MY DENALI 2/3, IT WAS OK BUT NOT AS SMOOTH AS THE MCGAUGHYS. WWW.MCGAAUGHYSCLASSICS.COM (I THINK)
