Updated Strobes...

well i updated the strobes in my truck.. still stickin with the amber/white combo for my father's business... the best part is i didnt have to pay a dime for the new lights... the company that we buy the lights from came in with their demo truck and they saw my truck going outside with the headlight/taillight setup i had.. being the owner's son and obviously wanting continued business the guy hooked me up with grille lights and a SVP Mini Phantom lights.. great lights.. so i figured what the hell.. its free right.. did the install and here is what it looks like... the only bad thing is that the camera doesnt pick up the actual speed of the lights.. but still i think they look good..

Now go cruising and follow a speeding vehicle and turn on the strobes! see if they pull over! haha looks good man!

im actually kinda nervous... i purposely put amber so people would know i wasnt a cop as police in my area use red and blue... anyway the other day we were all driving back from a wreck on the highway and i had the lights going and when we got into local streets i had guys pulling over to the right and letting us pass which is not a law in NJ.. i dont want to look like a cop which again is why i went clear/amber not clear/clear or blue or red.. and yet i still have people stopping and pulling over to let me pass and even worse we had 1 or 2 guys stop on the opposite side of the street.. to give more room for us to pass through.. i have driven in the regular trucks that we use and never once has anyone moved or done anything of the sort as when im driving my ext... idk.. they look good so im keeping them and i guess as long as im not doing 90 down the highway or trying to stop people i should be good..

IIRC your father owns a vehicle recovery/towing service??? Were you escorting or towing a vehicle while you were running the strobes? I think they're cool, but I can't get past the trouble that can come down on you if you get busted for impersonating. Be careful.

yea.. well while out on the wreck i use my truck to block the lane/road/ramp/etc that the accident was on.. so on the way out and back its mostly escorting the actual trucks.. i usually load up the bed with any misc. stuff that the accident calls for that the trucks dont normally carry... i dont use the lights for any other reason so i should be in the clear.. the only othe time i might use the lights is at the car shows.. my girls brothers friend actually just gave me the warning to watch out cuz they knew a kid that had the strobes and got nailed but he was an ass and was flashing his lights at everyone which in the end turned out to be undercover detectives that nailed him with impersonating and officer which if i have it right is court appearance and a 10,000 fine.
