NavTV Vs. Lockpick

Remove this ad
Has anyone put the NavTV piece in their truck? I just picked up an 07 EXT and not being able to enter destinations and use other functions while driving is killing me. I know that the NavTV piece is designed to be able to use the DVD player as you drive but does it also unlock the destination and phone functions like the lockpick?

The shop that i get all my work done at always uses the NavTV piece and say that its real reliable. When i asked about re-enabling the Nav and other functions they didn't seem 100% sure of the answer they gave me.

From reading allot of the reviews about the lockpick it doesn't make me confident enough to pick one up. When i heard that the NavTV piece might do the same thing i wanted to ask anyone who may have experience with it.

Any help would be great. Thanks Everyone.

Re: NavTV Vs. Lockpick

I've been using the lockpick 2 for 4 months with no issues.
The only problem I had was that the one rear connector is VERY tight. I thought it was fully seated when I first installed the unit, then had problems w/my backup camera until I reseated the connector.

Re: NavTV Vs. Lockpick

After two bad Lockpick I gave up on it, if the worst thing is pulling over to enter my Nav addresses, I cam live with that, it was not as much torture as the Lockpick thing was for me.

Re: NavTV Vs. Lockpick

Agreed and with all the possible bugs with the factory nav...you don't wanna have to keep on uninstalling the Lockpick every time you go to the dealership.
