Aftermarket Upgrades

Hey everybody,

I'm new here and am hoping that you Escalade "veterans" might be able to give me some help and/or suggestions.

First of all, I just purchased a 2004 Escalade that has 22" inch rims on it on it. The dash light for "check tire pressure" is on constantly. The dealership claims that there is nothing that they can do. I don't believe them but I don't know where else to look for a solution.

Secondly, I'm looking to modify the vehicle to increase performance. I'd like to install a tighter/sportier suspension for better handling, a cold air intake, a new exhaust system, and a computer chip for the engine (maybe a new chip or reprogram would solve the "check tire pressure" problem?). Where are the best places to shop for this sort of thing and which manufacturers comne most hightly recommended?

I look forward to your replies and suggestions. I live near Portland, Oregon and would also be interested in taking recommendations on shops that could do the aforementioned work for me. I really enjoyed tuning up my German sports car but I'm out of my comfort zone with this being my first SUV. Also, I don't have the time to do all of this by myself these days!

Thanks.

Re: Aftermarket Upgrades

Whats up man.

I am from Vancouver, WA. Congrats on your new lade!

As for the "Check tire pressure" message, its probably from the aftermarket 22s you have on..

Those aftermarket wheels probably doesnt have the TPS (Tire pressure sensors) on them, thats why that message is on.

I have aftermarket 24s with no TPS, so my message is on too. Nothing I can do about it unless buying new sets of TPS and having a tire place install them.

What area you from?
