    Hypothetical Question

Is there a way, that a 2002 Escalade AWD could ever do a burnout. My friend is trying to convince me that it's possible. I wont beleive it. The AWD would keep that from happening, no? He says power break it, and that eventually it will smoke the tires. I told him to get himself one, then he can try, cause he isnt getting anywhere near my drivers seat.

    Re: Hypothetical Question

I've also had that doubt but after many failed attempts I quit playing. First of all I thought that by deactivating the StabiliTrack system it would be possible to do a burnout, but later I found out the hard way. By deactivating the StabiliTrack you dont deactivate the Traction Control System, and this is what prevents you from doing the burnout. Maybe in the future when my tires are more worn out (8000miles right now) I would be able to do some sort of burn out.

Good idea not letting your friend near the drivers seat of your truck!

I tried a few times, and each time the rev limiter stopped the engine at 2000 rpm when power breaking. Must be a computer controlled thing.

    Re: Hypothetical Question

I had a 4.7 HO AWD Grand Cherokee with a supercharger that would smoke 3 of the 4 tires, so I am sure what you're asking is possible.

    Re: Hypothetical Question

A stock Escalade would have troubles - the computer will get in the way. My SC'd Escalade can smoke all four but I think it has more to do with my Nelson program in conjunction with the SC
