    Leaf blowers for drying ride

What's your opinion on using an electric leaf blower to dry-up your Escalade after washing it? I thought about using this method, then I'd use a chamois to catch any remaining water spots. Thanks...

I have used Toro leaf blowers for about 5 years now for drying all my cars and trucks, it gets most of the water off the car or truck quickly, it gets all the water out of the mirrors and trim.

That's all I have used for many years, now. Started in 1985. I also use a man made chamois for touch-ups. Leaf blower cuts the time down to half that with a conventional towel. Mine's a SEARS. 2 HP. Electric. Gets the job done. No lint, no fuzz, 1/2 the time. Works for me.

I vote for the Toro electric blower over any gas-powered blowers.

If you have a good coat of wax on the car, there will be absolutely NO water spots. Chamois cloth is good, but you risk scratches and swirls.

Does it works well with big chrome wheels? Because it takes me forever to dry and clean my rims.

Hmm... Id seem to think it would be pretty risky doing that, with minature pebbles that could be thrown up at your car if you accidentally point the nozzle down while its on ... or more dust even!

They work great on wheels too.

If you live in a dusty area, or if your driveway is not paved this could be true, I do not have either of these problems where I live and the leaf blower will cause a lot less scratching than towels would over the same time period, like with anything you have to be somewhat careful.

I agree with hte leaf blower... In my experience it only works good when the paint is waxed really good...

I then use a small towel or chamois to dry up the excess.....
