A) Power Fold flat 3rd row seat! Come on guys a Honda has this!
B) Bluetooth 2.0? It is offered on the STS would it really be reinventing the wheel to reach into the parts and add this to the Esclade. Onstar is great but the voice dial does not understand a thick Southern accent. It refuses to dial the number 2!
C) Keyless Go System? Again offered on the STS and XLR! Why does every suv in this class offer this feature with the exception of the Range Rover.
D) iPod/USB port in console? What jack**s decided to put the MP3 player port on the top of the radio? Why do you want wires all over the car? This drives me crazy in my DTS. Why on earth not put it in the console so I can keep my iPOD charged and play in the car. Ford got Microsoft SYNC? How did GM pass on that?
E) When you say that all dealers can install the KHV Directv sat system and wireless high speed internet you may actually want to tell the dealers. My dealer had no clue what I was talking about while test driving an 07 Escalade. Had to break on the trusty Treo and show him. They finally found in their computer where they could order it but no one knew how.
F) A full power wheel? You would think it would not be an issue in a $70k truck to get a power tilt/tel wheel. It if offered on all other caddys? What's the deal?
G) How about XM Nav Traffic? This is just lazy people, a simple software upgrade could add this. You can't drive in Atlanta rush hour without it.
H) MY Plat Ed Escalade has heated and cooled cup holders! Why was this not included on the new model? Why no Plat Ed of the new model?
I) Still *itching about the 3rd row seat. It would just be in the way, so it would sit on the garage floor and not be in the car when I needed it!
J) Who decided to put the cheap carpet on the back on the 2nd row buckets? How many people are actually going to be folding those flat? How many of these will actually go off road? NONE!
Just like with the 07 DTS the Escalade is several generations jump forward in fit and finish. However, still no where close to MB and Lexus because they rushed to get it to market only to let what could have been a home run truck fall short on basic elements!
Where is the much talked about V-12? Even if you only offered a limited run of 500 in a Plat Ed. each year, they would be going 25k above sticker.
You are aware that lincoln had power running boards, power liftgate, and power fold 3 rd row seats in the last generation Navigator? In a few weeks the 08 will have microsoft sync so all that will be lacking there is keyless go. So unless Cadillac steps up to the plate, I will be buying a new Navigator instead of the Esclade. |

Buy a Lincoln, my neighbor has 5 Lincoln dealerships, I get to drive the newest Navigator's all the time, they are slugs and have very little power. Two different times with two different brand new Navigator's the power running boards broke at my home in upstate NY. About these "fixes" you talk about, this is my take. Folding 3 row seats, I would rather have an option so you do not have to order them, of course this would be a problem from resale, they would raise the deck height, forcing the truck to be lower. Keyless, as you said my RR does not have keyless, I have cars that are keyless, and would rather have a key, but maybe that's just me. Heated or cooled drink holders, I would never use them, but again that maybe just me. I have my second row seats folded flat many time, again maybe that's me. The 12cylinder was in a concept car, GM does not have a 12 cylinder in their line up, and with GM soon to supercharge the 6.2 to make well over 500 hp there is no need for a 12 cylinder IMO. Some of your other points are good, and again who cares what Ford has. Do you know that Escalade has power running boards, power lift gate as well? Everyone uses these trucks differently, mine is a work truck.
