05 escalade how to tell diff 2wd vs awd

want to get 05 escalade but looking for AWD, how do i make sure i get awd and not 2wd

Any 6.0 Liter model will be AWD. there was no choice.

Look under the truck in the front, if there is a differential it's a all wheel drive, the rear wheel drive Escalade's usually sit pretty low as well from the ones I have seen.

Quite simple...just look at the 5th digit of the vin #.

On a 2wd, it's "C", and on a 4wd, it's "K".

That holds true for ALL large GM trucks and SUV's, and is the main way to decipher 2wd vs. 4wd if it isn't obvious in some other way.

Hmm maybe because mine's an SRX. Either way I checked it with the VIN... It's RWD.

Also probably b/c its not a Large GM truck. Although they are cute and ok to drive.
