    Cranky about wait time

    The 2015 will be my 4th Escalade (2003, 2007, 2011).

Ordered and put down deposit 4/16/14. To my knowledge, no order number or verification of acceptance.

Heard a million excuses from the dealer (from whom I bought the previous 3 Escalades).

Saw GM's announcement units will be shipped to middle-east in July.

Hello?? While I realize GM is a worldwide company, a bit cranky about shipping overseas before allocating and fulfilling orders waiting in the US.

The dealership required a deposit after purchasing 3 Escalade's from them, wow. Some smaller dealerships, or dealerships that do not sell many Escalade's do not get the allocations that larger dealerships that move a lot of Escalade's get, therefore you wait a lot longer, I have several customers that are in your boat, while their friends who order from larger dealerships later have gotten their trucks already, and they are less than happy. With the problems it may be a good thing for you in the long run

I ordered an ESV Premium raven black exterior with jet black interior back in the middle of March from a dealer with allocation available. Apparently the order just got accepted by GM a couple of days ago... Just wondering if this wait time is normal?

Yep, normal. Unfortunately. There was a constraint on Premiums at one point. However it's a bit f'd up that I saw a black/black premium ESV on lot that wasn't sold in Chicago 4 weeks ago and meanwhile your order is only being accepted now. Cadillac should of diverted that vehicle to you instead. But did they? Nope.

remember when you check online for a dealers inventory many of the vehicles that show in their inventory have not yet left texas, and may not have even left the plant.
that is true for all the local dealers in four counties around me.

It is puzzling. Now, my dealer told me this past week that they were allotted 2 more Yukons, but mine and another Denali they ordered way back when still sits at 1100. He said the problem is Denali, but it seems that the real difference would be the 6.2. Yet, you guys are getting your Escalades.

    Re: Cranky about wait time

Well if I'm GM and have a limited amount of 6.2's (if that's really true) I'm going to put them in whatever vehicles I have the highest profit on first. So if that's really true it would make sense. I haven't read anything about a shortage of 6.2's though.
