Not sure why you want to hard install the iPad. Each of my kids holds their own iPad and watches, plays, reads, etc.

I would recommend a new thread in the current model Escalade section.

It's ok mr holland just brain storming I'm a driver and I think it would be good for passengers to see vevo netflicks Hulu YouTube and other media services it should be set up that way in the new escalade. Also apple has a new iOS every year instead of worrying about the new tec that will be in the escalade after this one coming out it would be good if the car had the ability to update tec every year as well

On that note, does anyone know if the new caddy user interface is a long term hit or miss?

So far CUE has been largely blasted by those who have reviewed it. Similar to BMWs first idrive's....

I just sold my wife's Srx with cue.
We had it for 10 months.
Cue is hard to use and very distracting.
I wish they used the old school knobs and buttons.
Much easier and user friendly way to go.

    Cadillac imitated Lincoln/ford with Cue.

Now Lincoln/ford is going back to knobs and buttons.
I hope caddy will go that route too but I highly doubt it.

CUE is a way of the future, it's time for people to start adapting and realizing that knobs and buttons are a thing of the past.

Yes gm is finally making an attempt to compete, I will give them 2 years to get the idiosyncrasies worked out, which are to be expected. I just hope they give an actual folding 3rd row and ditch the solid rear axle like everyone else has, but I doubt they will do that.I will give them 2 more gens to do that, but I congratulate them on getting the cue. That is itself is a huge step forward for them.
